Efforts to create safer, more respectful school environments require productive, meaningful collaboration among cohesive teams of stakeholders, including School Safety Teams. This Action Lab will offer interactive, hands-on activities that enable participants to explore elements of effective team functioning; scenarios that represent real-life challenges School Safety Teams may face; and an approach to assessing school needs related to programming to support a safe, respectful school climate. Participants will also explore two replicable, evidence-based models that better connect students to their schools and integrate best practices for mentoring and bullying and violence prevention.
